Second Handed Central Connector

  • My First Layout, the Second Handed Central Connector Railroad is a fictitious subsidiary of the Central Connecting Railroad made by Jack Wheelihan. It has been reconstructed 4 time in the last 3 years of building it. The layout models the 1950s but also runs modern scale equipment. I use MTH DCS, Lionel Legacy, and Blunami to run my equipment, which is powered by a Lionel 180-watt brick. My layout is relatively new as it is a work in progress. However, I don’t have the leisure to get everything done financially. Therefore, any donations that are made not only support the NMRA, but will also help me keep this layout rolling! Members and visitors are also allowed to Bring thier O-Gauge Trains to run. The only requirements are that the Trains must have a command control system(Lionchief, Lionchief plus, Lionchief plus 2.0, DCS PS2 or PS3, TMCC or Legacy).

Charles Mason’s Delaware Valley Lines

  • The Delaware Valley Lines is loosely based on the Pennsylvania Reading Seashore Lines, a short line located in South Jersey jointly owned by the Pennsylvania and Reading Railroads. The layout concentrates on the PRSL branch from Camden to Glassboro in the 1950s. The original 6' x 18' section is 100% scenicked. An 8' x 14' L-shaped addition has recently been added to form a U-shaped layout. The new addition is approximately 95% scenicked.

Rob James’s Tridaily

  • The Tridaily RR (it tries daily to make a run) is a spur off the Southern RR located in North Georgia by the Savanah River. It consists of an interchange track that moves the raw materials and the finished products of the area to Atlanta Inman Yard. The Tridaily RR brings in the raw materials and finished products needed to satisfy the demand of the local businesses and residents. Lily Village which is located close to the interchange track features a Varsity Dinner.

Dr. Joe Nichols, Jr.’s Alpine Central Railroad

  • The Alpine Central Railroad is an HO/HOn3 layout occupying three rooms with the 2nd room double decked and the 3rd under construction. The layout has been revised for operations and expanded over the past 10 months. The setting is Colorado with mines and bridges loosely based on the Old South Park Line with corresponding towns. A large amount of dual gauge mainline has been added. JMRI is used for dispatching from an office created in a mockup steam locomotive cab. JMRI cell phone or Digitrax Simplex throttles are used. The track in the first room is hand layed and the 2nd and 3rd rooms are MicroEngineering. Locomotives are Blackstone and brass for narrow gauge Bachmann for std gauge. Seven AP awards were earned with the layout including Prototype Modeler. An onboard video control system is currently being installed to allow remote location operation.

Stefan Bartelski’s Shoofly/Pump Boys & Dinettes Module

  • Module of a shoofly (temporary track) while a new mainline bridge is being installed across a creek. Many of structures are themed to the musical "Pump Boys & Dinettes".
