Timothy Munnell's Chicago Kentucky Railroad -- Junior Host (HO)
Layout Tour Dates
It is with great pleasure that the Piedmont Pilgrimage Committee introduces, fifteen year old, Tim Munnell as our first Junior host. From his original layout Tim has worked hard and at times struggled to resolve his layout design and bench work. With assistance from Piedmont Division members and Tim’s father, Doug, the basic track work and electrical have been completed. He will now begin the process of developing some sidings, and his main town of Paris, Illinois. Visit Tim’s layout and encourage him to continue with the progress he has made.

My layout began as a small loop that got bigger and bigger. Now it covers as much of the basement as possible. After many redesigns, it is now Pilgrimage ready. Now it is a big loop with a town center and a small yard; but now a temporary tunnel has been constructed with plans to build tracks up to the top. Because it was a loop, there was difficulty in determining a site as a prototype. Then my father found Paris, a town in Illinois that has tracks on three sides of its downtown. With a tunnel on the fourth side a midwestern rail junction was found.
