The Coosa Valley is a two-year-old layout that is my first attempt at building a model railroad.   Inspired by years of working in the industry I decided to replicate the look and feel of a modern short line railroad serving a large paper mill and rock quarry.   The scenery is based on an autumn sunny afternoon in hilly North Georgia.  Locomotives are DCC with sound older Alco and EMD diesels.   Railcars are those normally seen in paper mill and aggregate service.    Long continuous main line operation with large industries.
